PROVO, Utah - Following four straight-set singles victories on Thursday evening, Sun Devil Men's Tennis (17-8, 4-3 Big 12) downed BYU (13-8, 1-6 Big 12) 4-1 to wrap up the four-match road trip. Arizona State picked up its 17th win of the season, which is one win shy of tying the best mark (18, 2023-24) since the program's reinstatement.
Despite losing the doubles point, the 27th-ranked Sun Devils battled for four quick singles wins, all coming in the form of straight-set victories. Fresh off a Big 12 Player of the Week Award, Niels Villard clinched the match for ASU to push the team to its fourth Big 12 Conference win over No. 72 BYU.
