Coming from behind in the final rotation, Sun Devil Gymnastics secured a win in the opening round of NCAA Regionals at Desert Financial Arena, defeating rival Arizona with a score of 195.425 to advance to the second round.

The Gym Devils led after the first rotation but slipped behind during the second and third. Trailing heading into the floor exercise, ASU capitalized on strong performances while Arizona struggled on beam, where two gymnasts fell, allowing the Sun Devils to rally and clinch the victory.

Fans

Fan favorites such as Sun Devil Football Head Coach Kenny Dillingham and the back-to-back Big 12 Conference champion volleyball Head Coach JJ Van Niel were in attendance to cheer on the Gym Devils.

Vault

Delanie Kelly, Kylee Bromley, Halle Braaflat, Halle Gregoire, Safia El Mammann and Lilia Purler combined to score 49.050 on the vault.

Bars

Reese Grolla, Delanie Kelly, Adele Ossi, Isabella Kowan, Kylee Bromley and Halle Gregoire tallied 48.550 on uneven bars.

Balance Beam

Reese Grolla, Kylee Bromley, Isabella Kowan, Safia El Mammann, Caroline Lichtman and Kayla Lee scored 48.925 on the balance beam.

Floor

For the final event of the day, Kayla Lee, Lilia Purler, Halle Braaflat, Kylee Bromley, Halle Gregoire and Delanie Kelly scored 48.900 on the floor to seal the win for the Sun Devils.
