TEMPE - Sun Devil Lacrosse (5-7, 0-1) continues Big 12 conference play against Cincinnati on Saturday, April 4, at Nippert Stadium. ASU is seeking its first road win of the season in what will be its fifth game. First draw is slated for 9:30 a.m. MST and can be seen on ESPN+ or followed on Stat Broadcast.
Saturday marks just the second time that the two programs will face off after Cincy came to town last year for ASU’s first-ever Big 12 conference game. In that contest, Arizona State picked up a 14-12 win, and senior attackers Lydia Oldknow and Teagan Ng each scored their 100th career goals.
Sun Devil Outlook:
In a rematch of the 2025 Big 12 title game, ASU fell 14-8 to No. 5 Florida in last week’s contest that was initially scheduled for Saturday. After a quick start put the visitors ahead 5-1, ASU clawed back to pull within one, but never saw the lead at home. The Sun Devils dropped to 5-7 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
ASU leads the Big 12 in assists per game (8.00) and draw controls per game (17.00). Behar’s 41 assists and Oldknow’s 43 goals each lead the Big 12 in their respective categories.
Scouting the Opponent:
Cincinnati has opened the season with an 8-5 record after winning just eight games in 2025, when they posted an 8-9 record to end their 2025 campaign. Last year, the Bearcats were 1-4 in conference play with their lone win coming over San Diego State, and missed the Big 12 Tournament after a tiebreak with UC Davis.
Cincy and ASU have played one common opponent in Marquette, and the Bearcats suffered a loss while ASU came out on top. In five home games this season, Cincy is 3-2.
