TEMPE - Sun Devil Lacrosse (3-3) continues its seven-game homestand, this time welcoming Bucknell (4-1) to town on Sunday, March 8. First draw is slated for 12 p.m. MST at Sun Devil Lacrosse Stadium. Fans can tune in on ESPN+ and stats will be available via StatBroadcast.
Sunday marks the first game in ASU’s history against a Patriot League opponent in the Bucknell Bison.
Sun Devil outlook
The Sun Devils come off of one of their most well-rounded game of the season after a 17-7 win over Niagara. Senior attacker Teagan Ng became the program’s all-time leading goal scorer and junior midfielder Anna Viglione set the program’s single-game draw control record with 21.
ASU outdrew Niagara 23-2 en route to a season-high 43 shots while holding the visitors to just 23 shots of their own. The Sun Devils -- who had come into the game with a top-16 scoring offense averaging 14.8 goals per game -- put up 17 goals behind nine different scorers to secure the victory. ASU reached the .500 mark for the second time this season, and a win would have ASU over .500 for the first time in 2026.
ASU leads the Big 12 in assists per game (7.67), draw controls per game (18), points per game (22.83), and shots per game (33.5).
Scouting the opponent
Bucknell comes to town with a 4-1 record, having wins over Ryder, St. Bonaventure, and UMBC. The lone loss to Penn State (21-9) is the only blemish on their resume, and is the only time this season they were held to single-digit scoring. The Bison are 1-1 on the road and bring a two-game win streak to Tempe.
