IRVING – On Wednesday, the Big 12 Conference announced the lacrosse weekly awards of the season for week seven, and Sun Devil Lacrosse’s junior midfielder Anna Viglione secured Draw Specialist of the Week honors for the third time in the last four weeks.

ASU faced two top-5 opponents in No. 4 Navy (11-10) and No. 2 Stanford (14-8), but dropped both road contests to end their three-game road trip.

Viglione tallied 10 draw controls against the Midshipmen, which was her 7th-straight game of double-digit draw controls. Though the Cardinal outdrew ASU - which is just the second time an opponent has done so this season - she accounted for eight of ASU's 12 draw controls. She also had two caused turnovers and two ground balls against Stanford.

Among the national ranks, Viglione is first in total draw controls with 146, 16 more than the next-highest player. Her 13.27 draw controls per game is the best individual mark in the NCAA and leads ASU to having the third-most draw controls per game (17.34) among Division I teams.

She is the eighth weekly honor for ASU this season, following Teagan Ng (attacker), Regan Spichiger (goalie), Jordyn Behar (attacker), Gabriella Henry (freshman), and Averie Cage (freshman), who have been recognized by the Big 12 this season.
