In 2025, the Sun Devil women placed 19th at NCAAs for its best finish since 2012 and the team’s first top-20 showing since 2019. Graduate Caroline Bentz accounted for 41.5 points for the Sun Devils. The team’s 200 medley, 400 medley and 200 free relay all scored points last year at NCAAs.
From the team:
Arizona State Head Coach Herbie Behm:
On the women’s team winning back-to-back Big 12 titles:
“It's definitely cool. At one point, the total team scores were like, ‘Okay, who can score more points,’ because they were kind of battling on that. But it's been really cool to see the women’s team grow. Last year, when it was more of a struggle to get it done, they just weren't as confident. And then this year, the first day they were lights out. And seeing that shift is a really cool thing, and now it's, ‘Okay, how do we continue that growth and just keep raising the bar as we go.’”
Arizona State sophomore Jordan Greber:
On competing at the NCAA Championships:
“Since it's my first NCAAs, I'm just really excited to be able to experience such fast and high-level swimming. I think it's going to be just a really cool experience for me overall. I'm hoping to have some top-16 finishes in my 200 IM and my 200 Free, that would be really cool. That's always the goal, to kind of get into that point range and to come back with some more points for our team. I know our relays, like our 800 Free relay, are ranked, I think 16th or 17th, so we're super close to point scoring, and I know that we can do that this time, so I’m really excited.”
