TEMPE - Sun Devil Lacrosse hits the road for the first time since Feb. 7 to face the Mercer Bears on Saturday, March 14 in Macon, Georgia. First draw is slated for 11 a.m. MST and can be seen on ESPN+ or followed via Stat Broadcast.
Saturday marks the first time that the Sun Devils will play in the Peach State, after the team faced Mercer in Tempe last season which was the first meeting between the two programs. ASU escaped with a 16-10 win over the reigning Big South Champions.
Sun Devil Outlook:
Lacrosse (5-3) defeated Akron (5-2), 14-8, in the last game of the seven-game homestand on Wednesday morning. Coming into the matchup, Akron’s defense was allowing an average of 8.83 goals per game. However, the draw dominance and a combined 15 points for the senior attack trio were too much for the visitors to overcome at Sun Devil Lacrosse Stadium. ASU pushed to a season-high three-straight wins and is two games over .500 for the first time this season.
ASU leads the Big 12 in assists per game (9.13), draw controls per game (19.13), points per game (24.63), and shots per game (33.75).
Scouting the Opponent:
Mercer has opened the year with a 2-4 record and has a near opposite season as ASU, as they opened the year at home before five-straight games on the road. The Bears are winlesss at home in the lone game, which was a meeting with Virginia Tech that resulted in a 14-12 final score.
The Bears average 13.33 goals per game, which is the best scoring offense in the Big South Conference. Defensively, Mercer allows 12.67 goals per game in six contests.

- On Wednesday, ASU had Teagan Ng (attacker) and Regan Spichiger (goalie) recognized in the Big 12 weekly awards.
- Junior midfielder Anna Viglione ia 10 draw controls shy of the 400 mark for her career. She will be one of two active D1 players in the NCAA with 400+ draw controls.
- This is ASU's first road contest since Feb. 7, 2026 when the team faced Oregon in Eugene.
- Senior attacker Teagan Ng brings a 28-game goal-scoring streak into Saturdays contest.
- Lydia Oldknow holds a point-scoring streak of 46 games – 45 of which she’s scored a goal in– dating back to the 2024 season.
