IRVING – On Wednesday the Big 12 Conference announced the lacrosse weekly awards of the season for week five, and Sun Devil Lacrosse’s senior attacker Teagan Ng and sophomore goalkeeper Regan Spichiger secured Attacker and Goalie of the Week titles, respectively.

The Sun Devils were 2-0 in last week's slate of games and picked up wins over Niagara and Bucknell. ASU tallied 36 goals in the two combined wins.

Ng solidifed herself atop the program's recordbooks and became program's all-time leading goal scorer following her season-high six goals against Niagara while also extending her goal-scoring streak to 26 games. She also scooped up a career-high tying four ground balls against Niagara and accounted for two caused turnovers on Thursday night. In the following game against Bucknell, she tallied four goals and one assist, tacking on one more ground ball and caused turnover.

Spichiger got two wins in two starts last week and totaled 21 saves, 17 GA, and 47 shots faced. She posted a combined 55.3 saves percentage between the two contests.

Against Bucknell, she saw a season-high 31 shots and posted a 14-save performance, which was double her previous career high of seven saves. The defense stopped Bucknell's 7th-ranked scoring offense in the NCAA, holding them to 12 goals, which was more than four goals shy of their single-game average. This is the first Big 12 weekly honor of Spichiger's career.

The pair picks up the fifth and sixth weekly honors for ASU this season, following Jordyn Behar (attacker), Anna Viglione (draw specialist), Gabriella Henry (freshman), and Averie Cage (freshman) who have been recognized by the Big 12 this season.
