TEMPE – For the second year in a row, Sun Devil Lacrosse will open its spring slate on the road, this season with a matchup against former Pac-12 foe, the University of Oregon, in Eugene, Oregon. The game is slated for Saturday, Feb. 7 at 12 p.m. MST, and can be seen on B1G+ and followed on Stat Broadcast.
Sun Devil outlook
Last week, the Big 12 announced its preseason awards, and the Sun Devils were represented by two individual awards and a large group of Sun Devils on the Preseason All-Big 12 Team.
Junior midfielder Anna Viglione was selected unanimously as the Preseason Draw Specialist of the Year, and senior attacker Jordyn Behar was tabbed with Preseason Attacker of the Year honors. Six were selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team as well.
ASU ended the 2025 campaign with an 11-8 record, falling just short of an NCAA Championship bid with a loss to No. 4 Florida in the Big 12 Championship.
Scouting the opponent
Last season, Oregon finished with a 6-10 record and went 0-8 in Big Ten conference play. Five of their six wins came at home at Pape Field, and their last home win came on March 6, 2025, against SDSU. Since 2014, Oregon is 11-1 in season openers and has a 9-0 record in the season openers they play on home turf.
