COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the first time in his collegiate career, Sun Devil Hockey senior forward Cruz Lucius was named NCHC Forward of the Week after notching three goals and seven points to lead Arizona State to a series split against Omaha, as announced by the league office Tuesday morning.
Lucius became the fourth different Sun Devil to record five points in a single game during the team’s 6-3 win vs. Omaha on Saturday (Feb. 21) and the second to do it this season, joining senior forward Bennett Schimek. Lucius’ five points marked a career high while notching his third game this season with at least four points and at least three assists.

Lucius registered the second game of his career with four-plus assists, tying a career high last set on Jan. 7, 2023, against Notre Dame and became the seventh Sun Devil to have 30+ assists in a season.
Arizona State finishes the regular season this weekend, traveling to Denver, Colorado, to face the No. 8-ranked Pioneers beginning Friday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. MST from Magness Arena and can be seen on NCHC.TV.
