The Sun Devil men's golf team will next play in the Cabo Collegiate March 1-3 at Twin Dolphin Golf Club. The No. 7 Sun Devils are 48-23-1 in head-to-head play after a solid third-place finish at the Amer Ari Invitational (Feb. 5-7).

Last time out
Michael Mjaaseth, a two-time senior All-American from Norway, posted one of the best tournaments in ASU history in Hawaii (Feb. 5-7). Mjaaseth finished third and shot 19-under 197 (63-63-71) at the Amer Ari Invitational, which was hosted by Hawai’i-Hilo and Hawai’i-Manoa. Mjaaseth shot 9-under 63 in the first two rounds, then settled down for a 1-under 71 in the final round. He entered the week ranked 20th (WAGR) and 23rd (NCAA Scoreboard). ASU finished third at 58-under 806 and moved its head-to-head record to 48-23-1 in 2025-26.

Back-to-back in Cabo
If it isn't broke, don't fix it. The Sun Devil men's golf team led all three days and clinched the 2025 Cabo Collegiate as a 15-under 838 (276-279-288) gave ASU a five-stroke cushion ahead of No. 6 Oklahoma State at Twin Dolphin Golf Club. Fifa Laopakdee finished tied for first after an impressive 3-under performance complete with four birdies. He had the lowest scoring average on the par 4's out of the entire field. Michael Mjaaseth also finished in the top five with a 5-under 208 (68-68-72).
2024 Information
In 2024, the Sun Devil men's golf team won the 15-team Cabo Collegiate in convincing fashion. ASU won the tournament by nine strokes, and did it shooting 11-under 273 in the final round, as only two other teams were under par in the third round. Three Sun Devils finished in the top-10, led by Preston Summerhays who shot an 8-under 205 and finished third. Michael Mjaaseth tied for second in par-5 holes, shooting 7-under.

Designed by PGA champion Fred Couples, Twin Dolphin Club's 18-hole course is built into the mountainous Baja desert, combining rippling fairways and fast greens with dramatic arroyos, natural bunkers and phenomenal views of the Sea of Cortez. It's a challenging course a fun as Cabo itself.
