IRVING, Texas – Following their performance against Grand Canyon, Sun Devil Swim and Dive garnered four weekly awards as announced by the Big 12 Conference on Thursday afternoon.
Graduate Adam Chaney earned his third weekly honor of the year, winning Newcomer of the Week. Junior Grace Lindberg was honored with Women’s Swimmer of the Week for her first career weekly award. Lastly, freshman Albane Cachot garnered Women’s Newcomer of the Week.

Junior Kayden Hayes earned her second Women’s Diver of the Week honor of the season.
Lindberg, won the 400 IM with the ninth fastest time in Mona Plummer Aquatic Center history, hitting the wall in 4:14.26 and winning by nearly seven seconds. Her winning time was 10th all-time in school history. Additionally, she was second in the 100 free in 49.69.
Chaney was third in the 200 free with a personal best swim of 1:35.41 and won with a winning time of 45.86 in the 100 fly, which was also a personal best. In the 100 IM, the Florida transfer was third with a sub-50 time of 49.44, then he was part of the winning 200 medley relay, swimming a 20.28 50 back leg.
In her Sun Devil debut, Cachot swept all three freestyle events, winning the 50 free in 22.43 and pacing the field in the 100 free with a time of 49.11. She won the 200 free by more than two seconds, hitting the wall at 1:46.38. The Toulouse, France native helped the 400 relay team of only freshman, win the relay at 3:20.07 with a 48.75 100 free anchor split.
Reigning Big 12 platform diving champion Kayden Hayes won both of her diving events, scoring season bests in 1m diving with 306.30 points and in 3m diving, scoring 318.53 points, reaching the NCAA Zone score to compete in March.
The Sun Devils will return to action in their final home meet of the season in the Big 12 West Championships set for January 16-17, starting at 10 a.m on Friday.
