On Saturday, the Minneapolis native scored on the power play and dished an assist to co-captain Bennett Schimek to give ASU a 2-1 lead after the first period and helped the Sun Devils defeat Air Force, 5-2. His two-point performance was the fourth time in the last five games that he's tallied multiple points. ASU has gone 4-1 during this span.
Potter’s goal on Saturday tied the program record for the longest goal streak at five games, joining former Sun Devils Ryan Kirwan and Johnny Walker. Over the weekend, Potter’s six points were tied with senior forward Cruz Lucius for the most over two games, contributing to an NCHC-best +5 plus/minus. In addition, his four goals were the most in the nation among active skaters.
Arizona State continues conference play this weekend, hosting Miami (OH) beginning Friday, January 9 at 7 p.m. MST from Mullett Arena and can be seen on NCHC.TV.
