MILWAUKEE – To kick off the 2026 season, Sun Devil Volleyball will play in the AVCA First Serve, a tournament showcasing top teams, from Aug. 21-23 in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum.
The weekend will feature eight of the top teams in the NCAA with six matches being played (two per day). The other teams participating include all four of the 2025 NCAA Championship semifinalists—national champion Texas A&M, Kentucky, Pittsburgh and Wisconsin—as well as Louisville, SMU, and Texas. Each of the eight teams participating were ranked in the top 12 of the final 2025 AVCA Coaches Poll and all advanced to at least the NCAA Regional Semifinal of last season’s tournament. Specific matchups will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for AVCA First Serve, which will mark the beginning of the 2026 women’s volleyball season, will go on sale on Friday, Jan. 30, at 9 a.m. MST at www.fiservforum.com. Other updates on the event can be found at 2026 AVCA First Serve page, which is also where fans can sign up for the Fan Pack Giveaway that includes tickets, lodging and meal credit for the event.
In 2025, back-to-back Big 12 Champion Arizona State made it to the NCAA Regional Semifinal for the second time in the last three seasons (fourth overall) after another stellar season atop the conference. Despite an entirely new starting lineup, ASU had a 28-4 overall record (second in team history for winning percentage) with a 17-1 mark in conference play to win the title again.
The 2026 roster returns starting All-American Noemie Glover for her senior season, along with fellow starters junior libero Faith Frame and senior middle blocker Ella Lomigora. The team also brings in five transfers and four freshmen.
