IRVING, Texas – Back-to-back Big 12 Champion Sun Devil Volleyball took home a number of Big 12 awards, including Big 12 Player of the Year for junior opposite Noemie Glover and a third-straight conference coach of the year nod for head coach JJ Van Niel. Additionally, five Sun Devils earned all-conference honors, as announced by the Big 12 on Tuesday.

Along with the two big awards, Arizona State has three on the All-Big 12 First Team: Glover, senior outside hitter Bailey Miller and graduate middle blocker Colby Neal. On the second team is sophomore libero Faith Frame, while redshirt freshman pin hitter Kiylah Presley is on the Big 12 All-Rookie Team.

Glover is the first Sun Devil to win a conference player of the year award in team history. Presley is the first from ASU to be on a conference rookie/freshman team since Marta Levinska in 2020.

Van Niel is the first coach in team history to win three conference coach of the year awards. He joins an exclusive list of Sun Devil head coaches across all sports to win three consecutive coach of the year honors. He is one of seven to have at least three in a row, including Sun Devil Hall of Fame inductees Linda Vollstedt and John Spini. He is one of four coaches in Big 12 history to have won consecutive coach of the year nods.

The complete list of Big 12 honorees can be found on the conference website.

Back-to-back Big 12 Champions, Arizona State, are in the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight year after another stellar season atop the conference. ASU went 25-3 overall with a 17-1 mark in conference play in 2025. The Sun Devils put together an impressive campaign that saw eight ranked wins, 11 sweeps and win streaks of 12 and eight. The team is also undefeated at home with a 14-0 record.

In Glover’s first season in Tempe, she made an immediate and impressive impact. She leads the Sun Devils with 375 kills, and in all but one match she played, she has reached double-digit kills, including four matches with 20 or more. Among pin hitters in the conference, she led in hitting percentage, swinging at a .342 clip in Big 12 play.

The southpaw was named a semifinalist for the AVCA National Player of the Year award, one of 14 athletes from across the country and the only one from the Big 12. Additionally, Glover was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the week three times, the most weekly awards of any Sun Devil this season.

In the middle, Neal has been dominant on the block and has had the most productive season of her career. She led the Big 12 in blocks with 115 in conference play, also leading in blocks per set with 1.62. She had at least six blocks 10 times during conference play. Her 142 block assists on the year are the second most in a single season in ASU history. Neal earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors twice. She was also fourth in kills for Arizona State overall.

Miller, in her second year as a Sun Devil, was second on the team in kills this season, picking up 359 to go along with 267 digs, also good for second. With her balanced efforts, she had 10 double-doubles, the most on the team. In Big 12 play, she had double-digit kills in the last 14 matches in a row, notching double figures in all but three. Leading the team in aces with 36, she was top 10 in the conference in that category. Miller also appeared in every set for Arizona State this season.

Arizona State received consistency in the back court from Frame in her first season in Tempe. A member of the 2024 All-Big 12 Rookie Team, Frame led the Sun Devils in digs and digs per set. She had double-digit digs in 10 Big 12 matches, including two with 20 digs. She aided in ASU’s strong defense, holding Big 12 opponents to a .163 hitting percentage, which is best in the conference.

Presley saw her first collegiate action and stepped up on the right side as part of ASU’s 6-2 offense. She hit .204 in conference play with 1.28 kills per set. She also contributed on the block, chipping in 40 during Big 12 matches, the fourth-most on the team.
