#3/18 Swim and Dive returns home with a pair of meets hosting #23 UCLA and #15/12 USC
Former Pac-12 foes square off at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center for the first time in two seasons.
TEMPE – Sun Devil Swim and Dive returns to action at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center for the final time this calendar year with the women’s team hosting a dual meet against No. 23 UCLA on Friday, starting at 3 p.m. MST. Then, both men's and women's teams will compete against No. 15/12 USC on Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. MST.
Admission is free and coverage can be followed on the team’s social media channels on Twitter/X @ASUSwimDive and on Instagram @SunDevilSwimDive. Both meets will not be streamed but can be followed on Meet Mobile with a purchase of a subscription.
The women will face UCLA for the first time since Nov. 3, 2023 where ASU defeated the Bruins 175-125 at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. The Women face the 12th-ranked Trojans the following day as the last dual resulted in USC winning 189-111.
The Sun Devil men’s team had an outstanding weekend against #T4 California/#8 Stanford, defeating two top-10 opponents, and the women tallied season-best times against the top swimmers in the country. For the meet, the men won 11 events in total and won their second straight tri-meet between the schools.
One month into the collegiate season, the Sun Devils are the only team in the country to have two swimmers with sub-19 second times in the 50 free. Remi Fabiani is third nationally at 18.89 and Adam Chaney is fourth at 18.95. Fabiani is second in the country with a 41.46 100 free. Chaney has the fastest 100 back time at 44.46.
Ilya Kharun returns to the team after swimming at the World Aquatics World Cup where he took home seven goal medals and secured a crown after winning the 200 fly for three straight World Cup events. Kharun owns the fastest 200 fly time in the country at 1:37.94 a month into the season.
The Sun Devil men’s team owns four of the fastest relay times in the country one month into the season.

- 200 medley relay - 1:21.88
No. 23 UCLA split both dual meets in its previous competition against Northwestern and Michigan. The Bruins beat Northwestern and fell to No. 10 Michigan.
USC Swimming and Diving beat both No. 23 UCLA and No. 25 Texas A&M, and fell to No. 9 Indiana, though in their last meet the USC men split their results, and defeated Texas A&M, and dropped a dual with Indiana.
