TEMPE – Six student-athletes from Sun Devil Soccer were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday morning.

To qualify for an academic all-district spot, a student-athlete must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 as an undergraduate and as a graduate student, if taking graduate classes, and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Student-athletes must also have competed in 90 percent of their team’s matches or started in 66 percent.

As a result of their work both in the classroom and on the pitch, Pauline Nelles (4.00 GPA), Grace Gillard (4.00), Peyton Marcisz (4.00), Cameron Valladares (3.93), Lucy Fazackerley (3.78) and Tatum Thomason (3.50) were all selected by the CSC. Additionally, Gillard, Fazackerley, Marcisz, Thomason, Nelles and Valladares appeared in all 19 regular-season matches for the Sun Devils throughout the 2025 campaign.

Arizona State was one of 11 Big 12 women’s soccer programs (TCU, West Virginia, Texas Tech, UCF, Kansas, Houston, Cincinnati, Kansas State, Iowa State and Oklahoma State) to have six student-athletes – the max number eligible set by the CSC – for consideration.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
