TEMPE – It was a successful National Signing Day for Sun Devil Soccer head coach Graham Winkworth and his staff as six prep women’s soccer student-athletes have signed an Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA) and will join Winkworth’s program for the 2026 season. The sextet of signees includes Abbie Kelly, Gator DeMark, Amy Medley, Ava Willard, Mechal Green and Mya Angus.
“I am delighted to add these six incredible young ladies to our program,” Winkworth said. “I am hopeful they will all come in ready – physically – so they can compete to play from Day 1. We will aim to add a couple more freshman and some additional experience to the 2026 class.”

Alexandra (Gator) DeMark
Position: Defender
Hometown: Phoenix, Ariz.
High School: Holy Family Academy

DeMark, a 5-foot-6 defender, was an honors student during her time at Holy Family Academy … helped HFA to the 2025 Canyon Athletic Association State Championship … was named the most valuable player in the state championship game … on the club scene, she had invites to regional and national girls academy events as well as USYNT regional events … daughter of Jessica and Dominic DeMark … brothers Ignatius and Sebastian played on the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves soccer team before Ignatius moved on to Florida Gulf Coast … sister, Maria, was a member of the Scottsdale Community College women’s soccer program … is the first-ever student-athlete from Holy Family Academy to sign a NLI with Arizona State …

Amy Medley
Position: Defender
Hometown: Montréal, Québec, Canada

Club Team: CF Montréal Academy
Medley, a 5-foot-6 defender, was a two-time athlete of the year by excellence in both high school and on the club team scene … a member of the honor roll in both French and English … made five starts in five matches with the Canada U-17 squad at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, where the team went 4-0-1 and outscored its opponents 18-2 … scored a goal against the Zambia U-17 team on the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup … named the defensive most valuable player and to the Starting XI First Team at the 2024 FTF x SA Girls All-Star Event … daughter of Joanie Caron and Mathew Medley …

Green, a 5-foot-4 forward, is a three-time CIF-LAC Division I Western League champion … first team all-league … an all-city selection … league’s most valuable player and top scorer … two-time ECNL Southwestern Conference champion … 2024 ECNL U-17 National Champion … a member of the California Scholastic Federation … daughter of Melanie and Lyle Green …
Coach Winkworth on Green: “Mechal is our most recent addition. She can play in wide areas or through the middle. She gives us extra bit in the attacking half of the pitch and is not afraid to play against physical defenders.”
Mya Angus
Position: Defender
Hometown: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Club Team: NDC Ontario
Angus, a 5-foot-11 defender, is a two-time Charity Shield Provincial Champion … Ontario Summer Games Champion … FTF U-19 Spring Showcase Champion … League 1 Ontario Champion … made her debut in the Canadian National Team Youth Program in 2022 … has played 846 career minutes in13 career matches across the CANW15 and CANW17 squads over a four-year span … has scored two goals and credited with three assists while representing her country … selected as an Overall Achiever Award winner in the classroom … also participated in track and field events … set to graduate as Valedictorian … daughter of Anna Carter, James Carter and Lester Angus …
