TEMPE – No. 9 Sun Devil Volleyball takes two of the three Big 12 weekly awards this week as junior opposite Noemie Glover is the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and graduate middle blocker Colby Neal is the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week.

For Glover, this is her third offensive player of the week nod this season. For Neal, this is her second defensive player of the week honor this year. Total, Arizona State (22-3, 13-1 Big 12) has now had five weekly awards this year, both coming from these two. Five is tied with 2024 and 2023 for the most weekly awards in a single season in program history. ASU is one of two Big 12 teams to have won two of the three weekly awards in a single week (also TCU).

The two helped the Sun Devils to two wins, including an eighth ranked win on the year at No. 22 Colorado and a rivalry win over Arizona in front of a record-breaking crowd

Glover continues to be a force on offense. In the win at Colorado, she set a new personal best with 31 kills and 10 digs. The 31 kills set an Arizona State rally-scoring era record for kills in a match. All-time, that is ninth in ASU history. She earned her second career double-double with the win over Colorado, her first double-double with kills and digs. In the win over Colorado, Glover was hitting .411 and achieved her fourth match with 20-plus kills in her career, with the other three matches all during this season. Glover also reached double-digit kills in the win against Arizona with 13. She’s had double-digit kills in 14-straight matches.

Neal had another strong week at the net for the Sun Devils this week. She was one block away from a double-double in both wins, with 10 kills and nine blocks in each match. She has had five matches with nine or more blocks this year. Neal has led ASU to 16 matches with double-digit blocks this season after reaching a season-high 17 in the win over Arizona and 10 in the win at Colorado. The Sun Devils have had double-digit blocks in 11 of the 14 Big 12 matches. Adding to her strong defensive performances, with her 10 kills in both wins, she has now had three matches this year with double-digit kills.
