TEMPE –  On Thursday, head coach Jamea Jackson announced a 22-match spring slate for Sun Devil Women’s Tennis that will feature 11 home matches. Over the course of the season, ASU will host Arizona, USC, San Diego, as well as six additional Big 12 Conference foes as part of the 22-match schedule.

The Sun Devils will begin their quest for a 38th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance with a season-opening doubleheader at Whiteman Tennis Center against UC Davis at 11 a.m. MST, and crosstown rival Grand Canyon at 4 p.m. on Jan. 17th. The following day, ASU will host former Pac-12 rival USC at 12 p.m. MST.

The team will then head to College Station, Texas, to play in the annual ITA Kickoff event hosted by Texas A&M. The Sun Devils will face TCU in a rare non-conference match on Jan. 24-25 and will play either Michigan State or Texas A&M, with the chance to qualify for ITA Indoor Championships.

The Sun Devils return home for a match against San Diego, slated for February 7. (However, if ASU qualifies for the ITA Indoor national championships, the match would be moved to March 13.) The team will shift its focus to a road dual against Pepperdine in Malibu at 11 a.m., then play in the Red and Blue event hosted by Arizona in Tucson to wrap up non-conference play.

Big 12 play gets started with a road trip to Texas to square off against TCU on Feb. 27, then Baylor on March 1 at 1 p.m. The team then returns home for three straight conference matches; first playing Houston - for the first time since 2008 - on March 6 and hosting UCF two days later. The Maroon and Gold conclude the homestand by playing in-state rival Arizona on March 14 at 12 p.m.

Continuing Big 12 play, the Sun Devils head east to face West Virginia on March 19, and then Cincinnati on March 21 before returning home for four straight home matches against Kansas (March 27), Iowa State (March 29), Texas Tech (April 3) and Senior Day against Colorado (April 5) at 12 p.m. MST.

The team wraps up the regular season with duals on the road against BYU on April 9 and against Utah on April 11, before shifting its focus to the Big 12 Tennis Tournament, taking place in Orlando, Florida, hosted by UCF from April 15 to 18. The first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament will take place from May 1 to 4.
