TEMPE – With just two matches left in the 2025 regular season, the Sun Devil Soccer program looks to maintain its position in the Big 12 Conference standings when No. 9 TCU visits Sun Devil Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 26, for a 1 p.m. MST kickoff.

Arizona State (10-4-3, 3-4-2) goes into Sunday’s match in eighth place in the Big 12 Conference standings by virtue of its head-to-head victory over then-No. 11 BYU earlier this season. Both the Sun Devils and Cougars have 11 points on the table.

Television

  • Ryan Sykora (play-by-play) and Adrian Pelayo (analyst) will be the broadcast talent for Sunday afternoon’s ESPN+ broadcast.

Series history

  • Arizona State will look for its first-ever win over TCU at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium in the four all-time meetings between the two programs.
  • Sunday’s match will mark the first time TCU has played Arizona State in Tempe since Friday, Sept. 5, when the Horned Frogs won 1-0.
  • The Sun Devils are searching for their first win over the Horned Frogs since Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, when Arizona State beat TCU, 2-0, in Fort Worth, Texas.
  • Sunday’s meeting between the two programs will mark the first time Arizona State and TCU have played in back-to-back seasons since 2007 and 2008, when ASU won 2-0, then TCU won 1-0, respectively.

Kicking off

  • Entering Sunday’s matchup against TCU, the Sun Devils have played on October 26 10 different times throughout its program history, which is tied with Aug. 31, September 7, September 12 and October 10. When the ball is kicked off to start Sunday’s match, it will mark the 11th time Arizona State has played on October 26, marking the most matches on a certain day in program history.
  • A win on Sunday would be Arizona State’s 11th on the season, the most by a Sun Devil squad since winning 12 throughout the 2014 campaign. The potential 11 wins would also be the most in a single season under ninth-year head coach Graham Winkowrth, who has won eight or more games in a single season six times during his time in Tempe. ASU has won 11 or more matches in a single season just five times (1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2014) since 1997.
  • If Arizona State goalkeeper Pauline Nelles is credited with a clean sheet on Sunday, it’ll mark the fourth-year senior’s eighth during the 2025 season, tying Erin Reinke (2000) for the second-most clean sheets in a single season in program history. Nelles already holds the program’s single-season record after recording nine clean sheets throughout the 2023 campaign.
  • If she is credited with six saves throughout Sunday’s match, Arizona State goalkeeper Pauline Nelles (294; 2022-P) will join Erin Reinke (1997-00) as the only goalkeepers in program history to be credited with 300-or-more career saves during their time in Tempe.
