Sun Devil outlook
Arizona State (11-2, 2-0 Big 12)

  • The Sun Devils started Big 12 play strong, winning in five at No. 18 Kansas before sweeping Kansas State. ASU has won 18-straight conference matches.
  • The block has been strong for Arizona State this season, earning double-digit blocks in seven matches, including the last three in a row. Middle blockers Colby Neal and Ella Lomigora are both ranked nationally in blocks at No. 61 (59) and 69 (58), respectively. Neal is also 31st in blocks per set (1.40), while Lomigora is 63rd (1.29).
  • Arizona State held Kansas State to a .095 hitting percentage, the fifth match in a row ASU has held its opponents to a sub-.200 clip. It also is the third time this season Arizona State kept a team to a hitting percentage below .100. Only three teams have hit above. 200 against Arizona State.
  • Three Sun Devils have eclipsed 100 kills this season. Senior outside hitter Bailey Miller leads the way with 141, followed by junior opposite Noemie Glover with 123 and senior outside Tatum Parrott with 100.
  • Glover has reached double-digit kills in all but one match she has played in this season. She also has hit over .300 in all but two matches and has never dipped below .265.

Opponent outlook
Utah (8-5, 0-2 Big 12)

  • The Utes dropped out of the top 25 last week after falling to Colorado and Iowa State at home. Utah has one ranked win over then-No. 24 Dayton in the season opener.
  • ASU has won the last five matchups over Utah, including sweeps in three of those. The last loss against the Utes came in 2021 in Tempe.
