IRVING, Texas – A number of student-athletes from Sun Devil Athletics earned conference academic honors as the 2025 Spring Academic All-Big 12 Team was announced on Tuesday alongside the 2024-25 Big 12 Academic All-Rookie Team.

Of the group honored from Arizona State, 11 individuals on the spring team and 12 from the rookie team were nominated with a 4.0 GPA.

The 2025-26 season saw a number of academic successes for the Sun Devils. The average cumulative GPA was a 3.37 with 82 percent of student-athletes earning Scholar Baller status (3.0 GPA or higher). There were 135 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA.

Numerous awards were presented to Sun Devils for their academic success. Six Sun Devils, including three from men’s swim and dive, were named CSC Academic All-Americans.

The Sun Devils now have 158 CSC Academic All-Americans entering the 2025-26 athletic season, most in the Big 12. In addition to Sammon, Matt King (baseball), Josele Ballester (at-large/men’s golf), Tiago Behar (men’s swimming) and Jonny Kulow (men’s swimming) all earned first-team honors, while setter Argentina Ung earned third-team volleyball honors in the fall of 2024.
