TEMPE— On Tuesday, Sun Devil Triathlon Head Coach Cliff English announced the hiring of Tamara Ferdinand as the program’s newest assistant coach. She comes to Tempe after a successful career at Minnesota as a student-athlete where she ran track and field from 2014-2016. Ferdinand’s resume also includes being a U23 World Champion and Junior World Champion.
Joining the 7-time National Champions, Ferdinand remarked, “I’m incredibly honored to join the Arizona State University Triathlon Program. I am excited to work alongside Coach Cliff English and contribute to the continued success and growth of such an elite and respected program. I’m excited to help develop the women into the best versions of themselves as student-athletes.”
“I'm really excited to have Tamara join the Sun Devil Triathlon program. She brings years of experience as a former student-athlete and as an elite triathlete , national team member and former Junior and U 23 world champion. I feel she's going to help us continue our elite level as we move into the future,” praised English.
