GREENWOOD, Ind. – For the third consecutive season, Sun Devil Women's Golf has a student-athlete on the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team, with senior Grace Summerhays representing the squad.
Summerhays, a communications major, boasted a 3.99 GPA. She graduated in the Spring of 2025, completing her degree in just seven semesters. This is the second academic honor that Summerhays has received following the 2024-25 academic year. She also was named the 2025 Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year in May.
This is the second time that Summerhays has earned All-District distinction, also gaining the recognition back in 2023. She is one of six Sun Devils to receive the honor this season. Student-athletes from men’s golf, beach volleyball, lacrosse and gymnastics also earned all-district honors. Recent Academic All-District honorees from the Sun Devil Women's Golf program included Ashley Menne (2024), Roberta Liti (2018), and Monica Vaughn (2017).
To be nominated for an all-district award, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First- and second-team academic All-America honorees will be announced in later In the year. The award was previously from CoSIDA, but the organization recently changed the name to College Sports Communicators. For the complete list of honorees, head to CSC's website.
The Sun Devil Women's Golf senior more than met the criteria to earn a spot on the All-District Team. She appeared in every event for the Sun Devils this season and finished with 47 appearances in her Arizona State career. Summerhays was a key factor in Arizona State's run to the 2025 NCAA Championship, where they finished in ninth place. She wrapped up her career in Maroon and Gold with 18 Top-20 and eight Top-10 finishes. Her impact was not only felt on the course, but in the classroom. Summerhays landed on the Dean's List each of her seven semesters and was named Sun Devil Student Athlete of the Month on multiple occasions. She leaves the program as one of the most influential student-athletes both on and off the course.
