2025 non-conference schedule announced
TEMPE – Completing the 2025 schedule, the Sun Devil Volleyball non-conference slate has been released, which begins on August 29. The non-conference schedule includes two home tournaments, the first on September 5-7 and the second on September 19-21.
The Big 12 schedule was previously announced and will start on September 26 at Kansas.
The season leads off with four weekends of non-conference play split on the road and at home. The first match will be on August 29 at Northern Iowa before heading to Pittsburgh for the State Farm Volleyball Showcase from August 31 to September 1, where ASU will take on the host team Pitt and the reigning national champions Penn State.
On September 5 and 7, Arizona State will be at home. The Sun Devils’ home opener will be against Florida Gulf Coast, followed by a matchup against Loyola Marymount on September 7.
The third weekend will see Arizona State in Texas. From September 11-12, the team will be at Texas State, playing the host team on the 11th and Incarnate Word on the 12th. On September 14, ASU will play at the University of Texas.
Non-conference games will conclude for the Sun Devils at home from September 19-21. ASU will host Pepperdine, Grand Canyon and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Last season, Arizona State put together a 30-3 overall record and 17-1 conference showing, winning them the 2024 Big 12 Championship title. This was the first Big 12 title for the program and for all of Sun Devil Athletics. ASU earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and hosted the first two rounds.
The departure of seven key players leaves ASU with spots to fill on the court. The Sun Devils return senior Bailey Miller, junior Jillian Neal, and redshirt sophomore Brynn Covell as the leaders in playing time, each contributing for the majority of last season. Neal and Covell were excellent from the service line with 36 and 24 aces, respectively. Miller played in 76 sets and tallied 147 kills on the year.
Arizona State said goodbye to many, but the program welcomed seven transfers and signed three freshmen. The transfers are Colby Neal, Tatum Parrott, Sydney Henry, Noemie Glover, Ella Lomigora, Zoey Burgess and Faith Frame. Freshmen Ella Lewis, Ceci Vance, and Maila Ribeiro make up the incoming class.
Game days are subject to change and times will be released at a later date. For updates and announcements, follow the team on Twitter (@SunDevilVB) and Instagram (@sundevilvolleyball).
