GAINESVILLE– Despite an early lead over No. 4 Florida, Sun Devil Lacrosse (10-7, 3-2) fell 17-5 to the Gators (15-2, 5-0) in the final game of the regular season. ASU secured the three seed in the Big 12 Tournament, and will play its host, Colorado, on Thursday, May 1 at 6 p.m. AZT.

Sun Devil attackers had a day against UC Davis's reigning Big 12 Goalie of the week, as the trio in Ng, Lydia Oldknow, and Jordyn Behar combined for 14 goals.

How it Happened:
After Jordyn Behar netted the first goal of the game, Florida went on a six-goal run and the home team led 6-1 after one quarter of play.

Teagan Ng stopped the bleeding in the second quarter with a goal of her own with 1:47 remaining in the second to make the score 10-2 Florida. The Gators managed one more goal before halftime and pushed their lead to 11-2 at the second quarter buzzer.

The Sun Devils came out of the half scoring two goals, one from Ng and another from Lydia Oldknow, but two Florida goals stopped the momentum and the score was 13-4 in favor of Florida. The quarter saw just four scores and Florida led 13-4 after three.

Florida extended their lead in the fourth quarter, and managed four more goals and a running clock. Regan Spichiger replaced Katie Vahle in net with six minutes remaining, but the deficit was too much as ASU fell 17-5.
