TEMPE – Sun Devil Softball dropped its home finale 12-3 in six innings against Baylor on Saturday afternoon at Farrington Stadium. The loss snapped a six-game conference winning streak by the Sun Devils.

Trailing 1-0 when they came to the plate in the bottom of the first, ASU put runners on second and third with one out for Ashleigh Mejia. The freshman proceeded to double down the right field line to put her team in front 2-1.

AJ Murphy helped the Sun Devils get out of the second inning with a crazy defensive play at third base. She then led off the bottom of the inning with a home run to right for a 3-1 lead.

Baylor tied the game with a pair of runs in the third inning, and then scored in each of the next three innings to salvage the final game of the series.
