No. 25 Arizona State (7-6, 2-3 Big 12)
- In their first of two matchups against BYU this season, the Gym Devils came up short, 196.775-196.000. The Sun Devils will face the Cougars once again in the Cal Quad Meet 1 on March 14.
- For the fourth-straight meet, the Gym Devils hit 196.000 or higher. It was their first 196.000 on the road this season.
- Graduate Emily White has been a prominent factor thus far in the season. She won the all-around with a 39.375, her 13th event title of the year, fourth in the all-around. She scored the lone 9.900 of the night for ASU, earning it on floor. White has recorded a score of 9.900 or higher eight times thus far in the season. She also notched a 9.875 on beam, matching her season NQS.
- The two other graduates Sarah Clark and Jada Mangahas have been consistent for the team as well. Clark has been on bars, beam and floor lineups. On bars in particular, she has not scored below a 9.800. For Mangahas, she has been competing on vault and bars, only scoring below a 9.800 twice between the two.
- Another Sun Devil in the all-around has been junior Kimberly Smith. In her last two meets, she has scored a 39.225 or better, including her career high of 39.350.
- Junior Caroline Lichtman set a career high on vault with a 9.825, which tied for the highest team score on that event. She also tied her personal best on beam with a 9.800.
Opponent Outlook
No. 18 Denver (12-3, 3-2 Big 12)
- Denver travels back home after competing in a tri-meet against Iowa State and then-No. 18 NC State. The Pioneers placed first in the meet with a 196.725, their second-best road score thus far in the season.
- Denver finished the 2024 season 26-5, and went 4-2 in the Big 12 Conference play. The Pioneers qualified for NCAA Regional Finals, and placed third in their session.
- Arizona State is currently 8-10 all-time against Denver, with their last matchup taking place last season on January 14. The Sun Devils fell short with a 196.375.
