PHOENIX - Sun Devil Baseball will hit the road to pay a midweek visit to UNLV before making way to Salt Lake City for more Big 12 action against Utah.

The past week for the Sun Devils stamped a 2-2 record in front of 18,528 fans, the second largest four-game crowd in program history. A midweek loss to longtime rival USC set up the perfect bounce back script, where ASU took two wins against No. 22 Kansas, cementing the first Big 12 series win at home.

No. 22 Kansas came into Phoenix Municipal Stadium as one of the hottest teams in the country, pouring on 65 runs in its past five games heading into the series. Sun Devil pitchers held the Jayhawk offense to 15 runs - a 50-run difference from the previous week in the notoriously batter friendly confines of Muni to take two of three games.

Nu'u Contrades played the hero in Sunday's efforts with his opposite field walk-off bomb to give ASU the series win. It was the first walk-off homer of Contrades' career and he was the first Sun Devil to walk it off via home run since Nick McLain's walk-off grand slam on May 3, 2024 against Washington (W, 11-7).

The attention will now shift to UNLV, who ASU just hosted on March 4th, picking up a 7-0 win. The Sun Devils are 2-1 visiting Las Vegas in the Willie Bloomquist era while taking the previous two midweek contests in back-to-back years.

Big 12 play will then roll on as the Sun Devils head to Salt Lake City as Utah awaits. This will be the first matchup between the two long time Pac-12 members since exiting the conference. The Sun Devils, who currently lead the all-time series 54-16, will look to win their fourth straight series in Salt Lake City dating back to 2017.

The midweek action against UNLV will be streaming on the
Mountain West Network. The entirety of the Utah series will be streamed on ESPN+, with Friday's radio broadcast over the airwaves on KAZG 1440 AM, while Saturday and Sunday's games will be on  KDUS AM 1060
