INDIAN WELLS– No. 45 Sun Devil Men's Tennis (9-6) pulled off the 4-3 upset win over No. 14 Baylor (13-7) in the UTR College Championships on Sunday behind another gritty team performance. The near-five-hour match consisted of ASU's upset of the #15-ranked Baylor pair, and straight-set wins over ranked opponents from the first and second position, eventually fueling ASU to victory and snapping Baylor's six-match win streak.

Head Coach Matt Hill again praised his team's grit after their second upset in as many days, "There was incredible composure and poise from the guys this weekend especially in the tough moments. This is a sign of good things to come." As his team will face the Bears again on Friday after a few days of rest.

Roi Ginat clinched the match for ASU, after battling back to win in three sets following a loss in the tiebreak in set one.

After falling on court two, courts one and three were down to the tiebreak to clinch the doubles point. Both duos– who had not played as a pair all season– pulled through for the 7-6(5) victory to give ASU a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.

Mathis Bondaz was the first to finish after his straight-set win from the second position to push the lead to two. Baylor won on court four, but Bor Artnak's second upset of the weekend came in straight sets and had ASU up 3-1.

The Sun Devils fell in third sets from the fifth and third position which tied the match 3-3. Roi Ginat battled on court six, and after seeing a 2-4 deficit in the third set, he won four straight games to escape with a 6-4 win and fuel ASU to 4-3 win.
