Down two wing players (Adam Miller and B.J. Freeman), ASU lost freshman Jayden Quaintance early with an ankle injury and never could sustain a run in falling at Oklahoma State 86-73 Sunday afternoon. Down by as many as 19 in the second half, ASU cut the deficit to seven twice in the final eight minutes.

Alston Mason did all he could, notching 16 first half points as ASU (12-11; 3-9) trailed 43-33 at the break as Quaintance played just nine minutes before having to sit. OSU led by 15 with just over six minutes left before ASU closed the first half strong as Mason had its final 10 points in the final four minutes.

The History
For the first time since 1997, Arizona State faced Oklahoma State. The two programs played each year from 1993-97, including neutral site meetings in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. This was ASU's first trip to Stillwater since 1995 and their only game against the Cowboys this season.
