TEMPE – Hosting their second tournament of the season, No. 10 Sun Devil Water Polo welcomes Cal State Fullerton, Iona, LIU, and Salem to Tempe for the Cross Conference Invitational at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center Feb. 15-16. All matches will be broadcast on Overnght and live scoring will be available on 6-8 Sports.
The Maroon and Gold begin the weekend bright and early Saturday morning with a matchup against Salem at 10:00 a.m. and a tilt versus LIU at 1:45 p.m. later in the afternoon. On Sunday, ASU faces off against Cal State Fullerton at 9:00 a.m. and Iona at 11:30 a.m.

Junior attacker Millie Quin continues to be an integral part of the Sun Devil strategy. Leading the team in goals scored with 33, she has notched 1+ goal in all but two games this season. She was the only Sun Devil able to score multiple goals against No. 3 UCLA, adding three points to her 40 cumulative total. This season alone, she has had seven games where she has earned 4+ points, two of those being six point games.
ASSIST, SCORE, REPEAT
Former MPSF Newcomer of the Week, Itziar Almeda, continues her impressive freshman campaign, leading the team in assists with 20. She has now tallied an assist in seven of the team's 12 games, and leads the team by a wide margin in the assists category. Additionally, Alameda has 24 goals scored, and has netted a goal in all but two games this season. She currently sits second on the team in goals and leads the team in points scored.
LAST TIME OUT
The Sun Devils opened conference play against defending National Champions No. 3 UCLA last weekend, ultimately falling 8-12. Both Frangieh sisters notched goals against UCLA, the second time this season that the two have scored in the same game. The team's leading goal scorer, Millie Quin had a hat trick in the loss, increasing her goal total to 33. Itziar Alameda tacked on two assists in her sixth multi-assist game of the season and increased her assist total to 20. Kat Featherstone and Ani Pamp also scored for the Sun Devils.

- The Gaels have struggled to open the season and have yet to face a ranked team.
- Iona went 14-16, with a 6-5 conference record, in 2024. They made it to the second round of the 2024 MAAC Championship, falling to Marist.
- The Sun Devils own a 2-1 record against Iona all-time, with the most recent meeting between the two teams coming in 2019.

- Long Island started off the season with back-to-back 2-1 showings at the Tiger Invite and Bruno Classic, before going 0-3 at the Harvard Invitational.
- The Sharks went 22-7 in 2024, with a 10-2 mark in conference play. The team lost in the first round of the MAAC Championship.
