TEMPE, Ariz. – After winning the Men's 400m in the second-fastest time in the country at the Corky Classic, Sun Devil Track & Field's Jayden Davis has been named the Big 12 Conference's Men's Athlete of the Week.
Davis, a local product from Phoenix's Mountain Pointe High School, took the 400m in 46.24 on the opening day at Texas Tech's Corky Classic amidst a loaded field. The following day, the sophomore sprinter led off the Sun Devil Men's 4x400 relay that went 3:03.57. It's also the second-fastest 4x4 in the country posted this season.

He now owns the ninth-best 400m time in Sun Devil Men's Indoor team history, while setting the program's third-fastest 4x4. Last season, Davis was a member of the 4x4 that won an Indoor national title in a school-record time of 3:02.35.
