FORT WORTH, Texas – Sun Devil Soccer dropped its final road game of the season 5-1 to 12th-ranked TCU on Sunday afternoon at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

Arizona State (7-5-3, 2-5-1 Big 12) struggled in the first half as TCU (11-2-2, 6-0-2) scored five goals over a 15-minute stretch. ASU had only one shot in the first 45 minutes and finished with six in the game.

"Obviously, we are disappointed to lose today," ASU head coach Graham Winkworth said. "To concede five goals in 90 minutes is hard enough, but to concede five goals in a 15-minute period is just unacceptable."

Enasia Colon got the Sun Devils on the board in the 61st minute as she struck for her seventh goal of the season. After receiving the ball from Keri Matthews, Colon dribbled into space at the top of the penalty area, giving her a free shot on goal, which she finished to the left of a diving keeper.

Winkworth added, "We spoke very honestly as a team at halftime. The girls were very open as to how we can defend for long periods so well but concede back-to-back goals in that one period of the game. I really appreciated their open and honest opinions with each other and was much happier with the second half response."

Colon led the team with two shots, while Addison Haws added the other shot on goal for ASU. Pauline Nelles made four saves.

"We have three games left now, and we must forget about what has happened the last two weekends. Instead, we must focus on Kansas State and make sure that we have a positive and energetic reaction filled with strong character," Winkworth concluded.

The Sun Devils close the season with three straight home games, and a berth in the Big 12 Tournament is still in play. That run of home games begins on Thursday with a visit from Kansas State.
