TEMPE-- After opening the season at the Mt. Shasta Tinman, Sun Devil Triathlon heads to Texas to compete in the TCU-hosted Battle in the Fort on Sunday, September 29 at Marine Creek Reservoir for the second straight season. The Draft-Legal race will consist of a 750 meter swim, 12.4 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run.
The race will be the first full triathlon of the season for ASU and the first time the entire team will be competing. The field of opponents includes: TCU, Denver, USF, Colorado Mesa, Drury, and Cal Poly Humboldt, and Arizona. Last season, ASU placed second in the six-team pool, and was led by Naomi Ruff who was the first to cross the finish line.
