TEMPE – The 2024 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades were announced on Saturday, and Tanya Windle of Sun Devil softball was named to the West Region Third Team.
Windle becomes the 66th different Sun Devil to be named to an All-Region team and that group has received 112 all-region honors. This is the 18th consecutive season Arizona State has had at least one player named to an all-region team.
In her first season at ASU, Windle led the team with a .369 batting average, 52 hits, and 10 doubles. She recorded 15 multi-hit games and twice had hitting streaks of at least five games. The sophomore outfielder added two triples, one home run and 25 RBIs.
This is the second consecutive season Windle has been named to the All-West Region Third Team after earning the distinction in 2023 for Utah Tech. Her .404 career batting average ranks 10th among active NCAA players – and second among sophomores – with a minimum of 300 at-bats. In her career, Windle has never gone more than two games without recording at least one hit.
