TEMPE, Ariz.--- Winners of five straight, the No. 31 Sun Devils (13-8, 5-4 Pac-12) will host in-state rival No. 39 Arizona (16-10, 4-5 Pac-12) for the regular season finale and Senior Day on Saturday, April 20 (12 p.m. MST) at the Whiteman Tennis Center.

The Sun Devils are 17-2 against the Wildcats dating back to 2000, having won the previous eight meetings.  They've outscored the Wildcats 38-3 in this current win streak.
 
SUN DEVIL NOTABLES
  • The Sun Devils have won each of their last five matches, all against conference opponents (Oregon, Washington State, Washington, Utah and Colorado). They have swept the last three matches.
  • In the ITA rankings, there are two ranked singles players (Giulia Morlet- No. 73 and Emilija Tverijonaite- No. 107). In the doubles rankings, Patricija Spaka/Chelsea Fontenel are ranked No. 33 while Morlet/Sara Svetac made their debut in the doubles rankings coming in at No. 83.
  • Tverijonaite continues to be rock-solid for the Sun Devils this spring. After picking up a pair of wins at Colorado and Utah over the weekend, the freshman has a team-high 13 wins.
  • Along with Spaka/Fontenel, the No. 83 ranked duo of Morlet/Svetac have also powered the Sun Devils as they sit at 9-1 on the season going into the regular season finale.
  • Senior Day! The Sun Devils will celebrate and honor Marianna Argyrokastriti, Rachel Hanford, Natasha Hill and Giulia Morlet prior to the start of the match against Arizona.
 
PREVIEWING THE NO. 39 WILDCATS
  • The Wildcats, like the Sun Devils, recently swept both Colorado and Utah last weekend. Arizona has won five of their last six matches.
  • At 16-10, Arizona has finished .500 or better in each of the last five full seasons.
  • In singles play, the Wildcats have five players in double-digit wins: Reece Carter (11), Midori Castillo-Meza (10), Brandelyn Fulgenzi (13), Tanvi Narendran (13) and Kayla Wilkins (12).
  • In the latest ITA singles rankings, Reece Carter is ranked No. 98. Arizona has a ranked doubles team in No. 62 Brandelyn Fulgenzi and Reece Carter.
 
FOUR DECADES OF COACH MAC
Sheila McInerney is in year 40 at Arizona State, only two current Pac-12 coaches have been at their job longer.
 
McInerney recently coached in her 925th career game as the Sun Devils' head coach against No. 30 Baylor on March 5.
 
In January, McInerney guided the Sun Devils to a 7-0 win over UC Davis, securing the 575th win of her career. She currently owns a career record of 587-348.
