TEMPE – Continuing their four-game home stand to complete the regular season, No. 10 Sun Devil Water Polo is playing host to the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers in a MPSF matchup Saturday afternoon at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center at 1 p.m. AZT. Arizona State (21-6, 1-3 MPSF) is coming off a win against Ottawa-Arizona with a 21-7 victory, where four different Sun Devils secured hat-tricks, and battled No. 5 California with a 10-8 defeat, whereas Indiana (18-6, 0-3 MPSF) is looking for its first conference victory of the season after falling to No. 3 USC 13-8 last weekend. 

The Sun Devils have won nine of the last ten games against the Hoosiers and have a 9-2 record all-time in Tempe against Indiana. ASU managed to play Indiana three times last season, with the Sun Devils going 2-1 last year, including a 13-10 overtime victory at the MPSF conference championships.

Luca Petovary is four goals away from breaking the MPSF record for most goals in a season, needing 120 goals after scoring back-to-back hat tricks last weekend. Sanne Keijzer worked 16 saves, scored her first career hat trick, and tallied an assist against the Golden Bears last weekend.
  
LAST TIME OUT:
The maroon & gold split their final doubleheader of the season against No. 5 California, falling 10-8 in a back-and-forth battle. Sanne Keijzer totaled 16 saves, a hat-trick and an assist alongside Petovary netting three goals in the loss. The Sun Devils bounced back with a 21-7 victory over Ottawa-AZ with four different Sun Devils having hat-tricks, including Zoe Frangieh leading the way with four goals. ASU's 21 wins are tied for 2nd most in a season in program history.

LUCA LEADING THE WAY:
The Senior continues her amazing campaign setting multiple program records this season in goals scored in a career, season and game. Now she's on the cusp of another record which is the most goals scored in a season in MPSF conference history, needing only four goals to break the record, sitting at 116 goals this season. This past weekend against the Golden Bears and the Spirit, she netted hat-tricks in both games for her 21st and 22nd games this year with 3+ goals in a game. 

She is currently averaging 4.3 goals per game and has 11 games this season alone with 5+ goals in a contest. She is one of two Sun Devils in program history to have at least 300 points in a career, currently holding steady at 323 points. The Hungarian leads the MPSF conference in goals and points this season and holds three MPSF Player of the Week honors this year alone.

CUTINO WATCH LIST:
Announced on March 14. Luca Petovary was one of 22 collegiate women's water polo players to be named on the Cutino Watch List, recognizing the best collegiate water polo players in the country. Petovary has an MPSF leading 116 goals, and 27 assists for 143 points.

DUO FROM DOWN UNDER:
After competing together in high school and for New Zealand this past summer, Millie Quin and Sophie Shorter-Robinson rank second and third on the team respectively in goals and points. Quin has tallied 64 goals through 27 games, alongside Shorter-Robinson netting 49 this season. She recently is coming off a streak of scoring in 18 straight games.

This past weekend, Millie Quin became the second Sun Devil this season to surpass 100 points, having 102 in 27 games. She is ranked 6th in program history for most points in a season and it marks the first time the program has two teammates that have scored 100+ points in a season. 

SUN DEVIL OUTLOOK:
No. 10 Arizona State (21-6, 1-3 MPSF)
  • The Sun Devils' 21 wins are tied for the second-most victories in a season in program history, and a win on Saturday would be team's 22nd win of the year and mark the second-most in a season.

  • Sophomore Millie Quin has 13 games with 3+ goals or more and is currently second in the MPSF conference with 64 goals, which also ranks eighth in program history for most goals in a season.
  • Graduate Lara Kiss leads the MPSF conference with 39 assists which ranks seventh most in program history in a season. She also leads the conference with 27 field-blocks this year. The Hungarian is the only player on the team with 20+ steals and 20+ field-blocks.
  • Sophie Shorter-Robinson has drawn 29 exclusions this season ranking third in the MPSF conference respectively. Petovary has 30 drawn exclusions this year which is second in the conference.
  • Jasmijn Dikmans, Kat Featherstone and Alison Kokorowski each have tallied 10+ goals and 10+ assists this season as freshmen.
  • The Sun Devils hold an 18-1 record when scoring 10+ goals in a game this season. 
  • Arizona State holds a 16-3 record over the Hoosiers head-to-head, and post a 9-2 record at home against Indiana.
    • ASU has won 9 of the last 10 games against Indiana, including a 13-10 overtime victory at the MPSF Conference Tournament.

  • The Hoosiers are well balanced with three players having 40+ goals this season.
    • Skylar Kidd leads the team with 47 goals and 29 assists for 76 points
    • Zoe Crouch is second on the team with 44 goals and 26 assists for 70 points
    • Sophia Sollie is fourth on the team in points with 52, but boasts 47 goals and five assists.
  • This past weekend, the Hoosiers fell to No. 3 USC in a 13-8 defeat.
  • Sophia Sollie and Skylar Kidd each lead the team with 47 goals this season, which ranks fourth in the MPSF conference respectively
  • Jasmine Higgs currently leads the MPSF with 226 saves in the cage, and holds a 60.3% save percentage.
