TEMPE – Closing out the regular season, the No. 20 Gym Devils host Southern Connecticut for Senior Night on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. MST. 

Senior Night
Arizona State will honor its seven seniors and two graduate students following the meet. Cassi Barbanente, Sarah Clark, Skye Harper, Jada Mangahas, Gracie Reeves, Cienna Samiley, Hannah Scharf, Anaya Smith, and Emily White will all be recognized. Sun Devil Outlook
No. 20 Arizona State (7-5, 4-3 Pac-12)
  • Last weekend, the Sun Devils were trailing after the third rotation but pulled off the upset over No. 10 UCLA after a strong fourth rotation, clinching the win 196.625 to 196.325.
  • ASU scored at least a 49.000 on all four events, making that seven meets in a row doing so. The vault streak is up to 20 in a row with 49-plus, extending the program record. Additionally, the bars streak is up to 19 in a row, matching the program record of 19-straight. 
  • The senior class for the Gym Devils has been all across the lineups this season. Of the 28 total event titles, 23 are from the seniors and fifth years. The bars lineup has been entirely seniors and graduates. In the last meet, there were six non-senior routines for the Sun Devils.
  • Senior Emily White has been a stalwart all season for the team. She's coming off of a strong meet where she matched her season highs on bars (9.875) and beam (9.925), the latter winning the event title. On beam where she has been the anchor all year, she has scored at least a 9.800 in every meet, including four scores of 9.9 or better. On floor, she's seen similar success, earning at least a 9.825 in all but one meet with four scores of 9.9-plus.
Opponent Outlook
Southern Connecticut (2-8)
  • Last weekend, the Owls competed at Yale with Maryland and New Hampshire. SCSU fell to its competitors as they scored 192.300.
  • This is the first time that the Sun Devils have gone head to head against the Owls.
