TEMPE, Ariz. - After two weeks on the road, Arizona State Women's Tennis is set to return home for a four-match homestand for the remainder of February. The team kicks off their first home match against Arkansas at 10 a.m. MST on Saturday, Feb. 10.
 
SUN DEVIL NOTABLES (4-2)
  • The Sun Devils opened their season at home where they picked up three wins over UC Davis, UC San Diego and Fresno State. Last season was the first undefeated season at Whiteman Tennis Center for the team in school history. 
  • Marianna Argyrokastriti is tied with fellow seniors Giulia Morlet and junior Patricija Spaka with the most singles wins so far this season (4).
  • The duo of Patricija Spaka/Chelsea Fontenel leads the team in most doubles wins to begin the season with four playing on Court 1. The duo picked up a 6-0 win in their doubles match against the Toreros on Sunday.
  • Last weekend, Sara Svetac made her collegiate regular season debut with senior Giulia Morlet as her partner. The pair had a doubles point-clinching 6-2 win on Court 2.
  • The Sun Devils have two ranked in the latest ITA singles rankings with Morlet ranked No. 77 and Emilija Tverijonaite is ranked No. 97.

PREVIEWING ARKANSAS (3-1)
  • The Arkansas women's tennis team concluded the ITA Kickoff Weekend with its first loss of the season, falling 4-0 to No. 5 Michigan (3-1) on the road. The Razorbacks will play a match at GCU on Thursday prior to playing the Sun Devils.
  • In the ITA Top 125 individual rankings, Carolina Gomez Alonso of the Razorbacks is ranked No. 79 in the nation.
  • The last time the Sun Devils went up against the Razorbacks was during the 2014-15 season in the first round of the NCAA Regionals. ASU fell 4-1 and look to improve their 0-1 record versus Arkansas.
  • Tucker Clary, the head coach for the Razorbacks, was named the head coach on April 28, 2023 after serving as the assistant coach for two seasons.
