Freshman Wenyi Ding has been named Pac-12 Men's Golfer of the Week after his performance at the National Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.
Ding came up one stroke short in his bid to win his first collegiate tournament, finishing at 17-under 199 (65-67-67) just behind BYU's Zac Jones who shot 18-under 198 (65-69-64).
The second place finish has led to a jump in the individual WAGR Rankings. Ding sits at No. 13, with fellow Sun Devil Preston Summerhays at No. 9.
This is the first weekly recognition from the Pac-12 in the spring campaign for the Sun Devils.
