The Arizona State men's basketball fell behind early in Corvallis Saturday evening and could never get within reach after halftime in an 84-71 loss to close the final Oregon road trip in school history.
Jose Perez had 19 points and was perfect in nine free throw attempts and Frankie Collins had 14 points and six steals while Shawn Phillips added 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting for ASU, who will host Stanford Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPN2 and then host California Saturday at 1 p.m. on Pac-12 Network.
Oregon State shot an opponent season-best .565 from the floor (26-of-46) and was 29-of-49 (.592) from the free throw line and outrebounded ASU 47-26. The loss ended a five-game win streak vs. the Beavers.
Collins notched six steals and is now just 12 short of the school record set in 1981-82.
