LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The No. 12 Sun Devils dropped a hard fought conference battle against No. 28 Little Rock, 18-15, on Friday evening at the Jack Stephens Center, their first ever loss against the Trojans.
After jumping out to a 13-3 lead, with wins in four of the first five bouts, the Sun Devils couldn't separate themselves from the Trojans. Little Rock grabbed its first lead of the night in the penultimate bout by way of tech fall, and took an 18-13 advantage into the heavyweight battle.
Despite Cohlton Schultz's 5-2 win over Josiah Hill, the three-point victory couldn't fully erase the Little Rock deficit.
