Jordan Clark grew up in a football world and has lived in places that know their football...Pittsburgh and Baton Rouge. He has been around the game his whole life and earned his degree. Jordan has played in 28 games in his four seasons, as he played in two in 2019 before redshirting. He will representing the Sun Devils at Pac-12 Media Day July 21 in Las Vegas. We asked him a bunch of questions, he answered all of them. Get to know Jordan below...

If you could have dinner with anyone from any era, who would it be and where? Dave Chapelle at Dorothy's Soul Food in Baton Rouge.
 


One word to describe your feeling when you were put on the ASU uniform for the first time: 
Surreal
 
You have a chance to pick the brain of any coach of any sport for one hour....who is it? I would sit down with Coach Dick LeBeau.

One thing I want to impress upon the freshmen:
To fully immerse themselves in the present moment. Whether it be a workout, practice, or game time to be where their feet are. These are the best of times, and being here is an immense blessing. Experience it all, and maximize yourself while you're here.

My favorite professor and/or class at ASU:
Professor Jonas Nordstrom. I took his SWU: 349 Stress Management course, and it helped me grow a lot. I learned about meditation, and how to handle my emotions in a more mature way. 
 
The most upset you have ever been on the field was:
Whenever we lost to that school down south last year. 
 
The happiest you have ever been on the field:
When we beat Washington at home last year.  
 
You have a chance to go watch one past sporting event live (any sport)...what are you going to?
Duran vs. Leonard II to witness the masterful performance that Sugar Ray put on that night. Would just sit back, and watch the show. Definitely take in the reactions of all those around me when Duran quit on his stool. 
 
MLB players pick a song to play on the PA system when they step up to the plate. You are a MLB player. What song is playing as you dig into the batter's box?

What did you like best about your hometown?  
THE FOOD. There are so many amazing restaurants, and hole in the wall spots that serve top tier food.
 
A movie you have watched more than once and will watch again:  Troy. 
 
Past Sun Devil (any sport) you wish you could have watched compete: 
Barry Bonds or Jake Plummer


 

Favorite song from your favorite artist? Overdose by NBA Youngboy. 
 
Are you a good dancer? When is the last time you danced?  
I'm an okay dancer, and I dance every day. 
 
What is one of your favorite quotes? 
You don't rise to the occasion you fall to the level of your preparation. 
 
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?  WASHING THE DISHES. 
 
What is your favorite form of exercise? Muay Thai. 
 
Who has been the biggest influence on your career? My Dad
 
If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
The parting of the Red Sea, or Pompeii. 
 
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? Become fluent in every language. 
 
If you could meet anyone, past or present, who would it be? My cousin Barry
 
What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Talk way too much.
 
What story does your family always tell about you? My villain origin story. Whenever I was four I started playing soccer. There was a parents vs. players game at the end of the season. I got by my Dad so he pushed me on the ground, picked up the ball, ran down the field, and threw it in the goal. Still messed up about it. 
 
What's your favorite show/series and why? Stranger Things is my favorite TV show. I really love sci-fi, and enjoy the 1980's aesthetic. Courage the Cowardly Dog is a close second. It is definitely my go to show.
 
If you were a character on a show/series, which one would you be? I would be Harry Potter from the Harry Potter series.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?  
Forever in a Short Time. 
 
Name one thing about yourself that most people don't know: I grew up playing the piano. 
 
What is your favorite commercial? 
The Troy Polamalu and Ladanian Tomlinson Nike "Fate" commercial.  




A Sun Devil "story" that has put a lump in your throat: Pat Tillman. 

Game/event where you learned the most from? LSU 7 vs. 7 tournament my sophomore year of high school.  
 
If you could live during any time period when/where would it be and why?  
I would've lived in New York in the 1990's. 
 
What is the most important thing that a parent taught you?
My Dad taught me to maximize myself, and let the cards fall where they may. As long as you did everything you could, and laid it all on the line you can walk away with your head high. 
 
What was the single-biggest challenge of your life?  
Adjusting to living life on my own, and doing the right things without my parents there to monitor me. 
 
What is your favorite road trip destination? Point Loma, California. 
 
What toppings do you get on your pizza? BBQ chicken pizza. 
 
How do you like your steak cooked?  medium plus. *chefs kiss* 
 
Favorite pro athlete you have been around: Ryan Clark
 
Past Sun Devil game/event you wish you would have been there live to see: Basketball win over #1 Kansas. 
 
What I know now that I wish I knew in high school: To stop taking myself so seriously 
 
Typically, I am in bed and lights are out at: around 10:30
 
Last book I read: The Fugitive Six by Pittacus Lore 
 
Last movie I saw: The Flash 
 
What was the first concert you ever attended? Justin Bieber: My World Tour 
 
The most played song on my playlist is: Sweater Weather by the neighbourhood. 
 
My favorite month and why: November is my favorite month because of football, and Thanksgiving. 
 
Something I have not done, but I will:  Travel around the world. 
 
What is your favorite holiday and why? Halloween because of the decorations, and the movies. I love the weather around that time as well. 
 
What three words would you use to describe yourself? Amiable, committed, sincere. 
 
If you could be on any game show, which show would you choose?  Total Wipeout! 
 
What is the most useful app you have downloaded? Twitter for sure. 
 
What is your best childhood sports memory? My dad's Super Bowl win.
 
You have just won the lottery, what is your first purchase? A wiener dog puppy.
 
What is your favorite sport to watch? MMA
 
What is your favorite food? Pork and beans
 
What is your favorite restaurant? Nakama. It's a hibachi place in the southside of Pittsburgh, PA. 
 
What do you miss the most about being a kid? Going to Paige's with my family, or spending summers with my cousins in Boutte, LA.
 
What is the hardest thing that you have ever done? Wake up at 5 a.m. consistently before school to workout in high school. 
 
What is your favorite candy? Pecan Candy
 
One word to describe your family? Genuine
 
What is a place that you have always wanted to visit? The Maldives
 
What was the most exciting game you have ever been a part of (fan or as player)?: Our win against Oregon in 2019.
