TEMPE- Sun Devil men's tennis is back in action Feb. 24-26 after a two week break to host the ASU 8-Team Invitational at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. Outside of No. 32 Arizona State, the tournament features No. 55 New Mexico, New Mexico State, Nevada, Utah State, UNLV, Loyola Marymount and Idaho. Two matches will be played each day, with matches at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday along with matches at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

This is the first of two tournaments ASU will host this season as the Sun Devils will host the ASU Spring Break Tournament from March 10-12 at Whiteman Tennis Center.
Scouting the Opponents
New Mexico last competed two weekends ago when the Lobos traveled to Utah, splitting a pair of matches with a win over BYU in Provo and a loss to Utah in Salt Lake City.
The Idaho Vandals competed last weekend in Denver, splitting their matches in a win over Utah State on Saturday and a loss to Denver on Sunday. Idaho was the Big Sky champion last season and received a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Last weekend, Nevada made the trip to Stockton, California, where the Wolfpack split their matches in a comeback win over UC Irvine on Saturday before coming up short against Pacific on Saturday.
Utah State faced the Vandals and Denver over the weekend, coming up short in both of their matches. Last season, the Aggies advanced to the Mountain West Championship Semifinals and have the No. 111 ranked singles player David Cierny this season.
New Mexico State traveled to Corpus Christi, Texas last weekend and picked up a win over DePaul on Friday.
UNLV came up short in its weekend trip to Seattle where the Rebels faced Portland on Saturday and Washington on Sunday.
At home this past weekend, Loyola Marymount hosted San Diego State on Friday and Utah on Sunday. The Lions picked up the win over SDSU, but had a loss to No. 8 Utah.
