The Ken Shannon meet serves as a de facto conference final as the Pac-12 does not officially sponsor an indoor championship; all of the teams in this meet are from the Pac-12. This meet takes place after an off week for most of the team except for Jeremy Cody, Jalen Drayden, and Justin Robinson who all competed at the USATF Indoor Championships last weekend. Robinson ran a 45.40 (45.51 w/ altitude adjustment) in the 400m. That mark won him the gold, broke the ASU program record, and moved him to third in the world for the 400m.
The top-16 in each event group qualifies for the NCAA Indoor Championships, and ASU currently has three in qualifying position. Robinson's second in the country in the 400m, four-time NCAA champion Turner Washington is eighth, and the 4x400 squad of Robinson, Drayden, Gamali Felix and Jeremiah Curry are fourth. On the cusp are Jeremy Cody at 20th in the high jump and Dayton Carlson at 23rd in the 800m.
