ASU finished sixth in Las Vegas last year, with Richard Figueroa claiming the 125lb title with wins against tough opponents that included current one-seed Matt Ramos. Without Figueroa this weekend, ASU will look to Jacori Teemer and Kyle Parco, who are both the two seeds in their respective brackets. Last year, Parco ran through his bracket before dropping the championship match to 4x All-American Sammy Sasso. With seven of the top 10 wrestlers at 149lbs competing, Parco is 2-0 against wrestlers in the bracket's top 10.

Teemer's 157lb bracket includes six of the nation's top 10 wrestlers, and has the potential to end in a championship matchup between No. 4 Teemer and No. 3 Peyton Robb. The two have faced off twice, with Robb taking both close matches in the '19 Cliff Keen and '22 NCAA Championships. Teemer will look to set the records straight in 2023.

Julian Chlebove (133lb) and Tony Negron (184lb) are competing in the Cliff Keen Invitational for the first time, and are seeded fourth and sixteenth, respectively. Ranked No. 10 by FloWrestling, Chlebove is 2-0 on the season and has a win against ten seed Caden McCrary. No. 22 Negron comes into the tournament at 5-1 with an upset win over the eight seed, Gavin Kane, already under his belt.
