No. 5 Sun Devil Wrestling (1-1) is gearing up for the highest-ranked dual on the schedule, a tilt with No. 3 Missouri (0-0). A rematch of last year's home opener, the Sun Devils will look to spoil the Tigers' first dual in Columbia, MO. Matches are scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. MST, and will be streaming on FloWrestling. The dual will feature seven All-Americans, including a defending national champion and a potential top 10 showdown.

Arizona State is coming off a productive weekend in Bethlehem, PA, where they went 1-1 against No. 18 Lock Haven and No. 15 North Carolina, respectively, and earned two titles at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic. The loss to North Carolina came down to the last match, and Arizona State will be without HWT No. 4 Cohlton Schultz against Missouri, as well.

Missouri hosted their Tiger Style Invite in Kansas City last weekend, and had Maryland, Cal Poly, SIUE, Little Rock, and Lindenwood compete. With five individual champions, Missouri claimed first place. This will be their first dual of the season.

All Too Familiar

This dual is a rematch of the same-ranked No. 5 Sun Devils vs. No. 3 Tigers in Tempe, AZ, on Nov. 18, 2022. The Sun Devils used upsets from standout redshirt freshman Richard Figueroa over No. 14 Noah Surtin, and No. 24 Jesse Vasquez over No. 6 Allan Hart to go up 12-0 after four matches. Storming back with tech falls at 157 and 165, the Tigers had a 16-15 lead going into the heavyweight bout between No. 1 Cohlton Schultz and No. 7 Zach Elam. In what was wrestling's Mullett Arena opener, Schultz got the job done with a major decision to electrify the home crowd.

Match-by-Match Stats to Know

125lb - No. 2 Richard Figueroa (ASU) vs. No. 16 Noah Surtin (Missouri)

Figueroa faced Surtin as an unranked redshirt sophomore last year, and upset then-No. 14 Noah Surtin with a 6-4 decision in the first match in Mullett Arena. Figueroa's eventual 14-0 season would be highlighted by a victory over NCAA runner-up Matt Ramos at the Cliff Keen Invitational. Surtin would go on to have a successful season, claiming second at the Big 12 Championships and going 1-2 at NCAAs. He's begun this season on a tear, racking up a 17-0 tech fall to go along with two falls and a decision to claim the title at the Tiger Style Invite.

133lb - No. 11 Julian Chlebove (ASU) vs. Zeke Seltzer (Missouri)

Chlebove comes into this match 1-0, with a decision in the North Carolina dual. Seltzer claimed second at the Tiger Style Invite last week, and the redshirt freshman enters the weekend at 2-1.

141lb - Carter Dibert (ASU) vs. No. 16 Josh Edmond (Missouri)

Dibert was one of two Sun Devils to earn a title at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic last week, going 3-0 in the 133 "B" bracket, including a 16-1 tech fall. Edmond placed second at the Tiger Style Invite, but used two tech falls to get to the final round against No. 15 Kal Miller of Maryland.

149lb - No. 3 Kyle Parco (ASU) vs. Logan Gioffre (Missouri)

2-0 in duals this season, Parco will look to keep this trend up after going 11-1 last year, with the only loss to '22 and '23 national champion Yianni Diakomihalis of Cornell. Gioffre is 0-2 in duals for Missouri over his career, but placed second at the Tiger Style Invite this season.

157lb - No. 4 Jacori Teemer or Michael Kilic (ASU) vs. No. 7 Brock Mauller (Missouri)

Teemer's return was delayed by an injury 1:14 into his match against Lock Haven last weekend, but may get off to a real start in a top 10 matchup against Mauller. Wrestling at 149 last year, Mauller lost two close matches with Kyle Parco in their dual and the NCAA Championships. He'll look to bounce back vs. the wrestler he faces at 157.

165lb - Chance McLane (ASU) vs. No. 1 Keegan O'Toole (Missouri)

After transferring from Oklahoma State, McLane won the first two duals of his career against Lock Haven and North Carolina, and placed fourth in the 165 "A" bracket at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic. He'll have his hands full with the 2x defending national champion Keegan O'Toole, who has opened the season with two falls, two tech falls, and the 165 title at the Tiger Style Invite.

174lb - Max Wilner (ASU) vs. No. 8 Peyton Mocco (Missouri)

Wrestling up two classes from last year, Wilner has built a 2-0 record after dual victories against Lock Haven and North Carolina. Mocco will be a real test, as the All-American is coming off of a close second-place finish in the Tiger Style Invite.

184lb - No. 19 Tony Negron (ASU) vs. Colton Hawks or No. 11 Clayton Whiting (Missouri)

Negron pulled off a massive upset in the North Carolina dual, beating then-No. 6 Gavin Kane by 6-4 decision. He would follow this up with a title at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic to cap off a 5-0 weekend and put him into the rankings. He'll have his hands full whether he's facing the 4-0 redshirt freshman, Whiting, or the NCAA-qualifying redshirt junior, Hawks. At the Tiger Style Invite, Whiting took down Hawks to claim the 184 title by sudden victory.

197lb - Kai Argyros (ASU) vs. No. 4 Rocky Elam (Missouri)

Wrestling at the ERAU Mile High Open last week, Argyros went 3-2. He's 5-5 over the last two seasons, and this will be his first dual for the Sun Devils. Elam has been climbing since 2021, finishing 5th, 4th, and 3rd at the NCAA Championships over the last three years, respectively. He didn't participate in the Tiger Style Invite, so this will be his first match of the season.

HWT - Damion Schunke (ASU) vs. No. 5 Zach Elam (Missouri)

Schunke dropped his dual against North Carolina by 5-1 decision, and will look to bounce back after a 5th place finish at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic. Elam comes into the match with last year's memories of losing by 12-4 major decision to Cohlton Schultz and sending Missouri home with a loss.
