The Sun Devil wrestling team always has international representation, and late October is no exception.

Julian Chlebove (61 kg) will be appearing in his first international tournament at the U23 World Championships in Tirana, Albania, that will take place Oct. 23-29. Chlebove, a redshirt junior at Arizona State, had a breakout performance at U23 Nationals in June to claim the U23 World Team spot.

The Northampton, PA, product won the 61 kg freestyle weight class at the U23 World Team Trials in June to earn his spot on USA Wrestling's University World Team. It will be the first USA world team for Chlebove. Chlebove defeated Ethan Oakley of Boone RTC in back-to-back finals matches to cap off a seven-match win streak at the tournament. The full tournament brackets and results are available via FloArena.

Chlebove has long been one of ASU's top wrestlers. He was the secondary behind Michael McGee at 133 for the past few seasons but is expected to contest for the starting role this upcoming season. He has 26 victories in his collegiate career. His father Ian "Whitey" Chlebove was a two-time All-American for West Virginia in 1998 and 1999, finishing seventh (134) and sixth (141) at the NCAA Championships.
